Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

It was at the same level as a American grading system for all the students in the program, we had some different teaching methods than in the states, had more discussion based class, at times the work load is more than the usual workload i had in America.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The region in general is very safe, the region is only unsafe on certain days like major football(soccer) matches

I have a food allergy to nuts and i had no major problems i just could not eat most of the sweets

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

going to shows and meeting people, and club meetings like debate club at the univserity of mostar

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

No problems at all

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I don't know just lower than the average in American because currently the prices are low
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Just budget money for yourself and you'll be fine i had to buy a new pair of shoes but since i had planed possibly buying a new pair i was okay

Language acquisition improvement?

I practiced the language with my Host family, and people on the street, you can find peopel that speak English but it is easier if you can speak a little bit of the local language.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I think it would benefit any student that is interested in any topic in the field, you will become a stronger student and understand you current limits and how to improve them during the independent study project
