I learned so much about Morocco; its history, where it stands now on so many issues, and about what the future holds for this country. Definitely a worthwhile experience.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I had organized my summer plans ahead of time so that I didn't have to worry about that during my time. Not only was it difficult with the low availability of internet, but it also distracted me from living in the moment at times in Morocco.

Craving the most authentic experience possible, perhaps you lived with a host family or really got in good with the locals. You may have felt confined by your program requirements and group excursions. Instead, you'd have preferred to plan your own trips, even skipping class to conduct your own 'field work.'
