Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

IHP challenges our conventional notions of education and academics. It pushes you to learn from everything you experience instead of confining your learning to the classroom.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Having a country coordinator in each country was especially helpful.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

My host families were an indispensable part of my experience.

* Food:

Email me and I'll tell you!! I have a list of places in each city we went to that I loved. Our host families also made amazing food.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Host families.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I hardly felt unsafe. IHP gives you a safety briefing at the start of each country so you'll know what to expect. There was a sandfly/flea/bugbite issue that we had in Langa, South Africa but it was solved.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)
