About

Taller Experimental de Gráfica was established shortly after the Cuban Revolution. Since the early 1960s, it has been a vital center for printmaking in Havana, and is considered Cuba’s premier printmaking studio.  This printmaking workshop will offer the unique opportunity to work in this historic, open air, facility. Students will explore and experiment with the traditional printmaking mediums of lithography and woodcut printing. Print projects of personal interest will be developed. All printing will take place at the Taller studio on turn-of-the-century presses and lithographic stones. Instruction and assistance will be given for various printing and processing techniques.
