I learned a lot about the type of person i am, how to budget, how to travel to countries where i dont speak the language, how to step outside my comfort zone and be ok with it, how to respect others’ differences, how to enjoy life. A student - Smith College View Entire Review
I really came to Spain to get a different experience and that I did. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I made a lot of meaningful relationships with my host family and with other students that are apart of my program, that I didn't necessarily know from Smith. Aminata Khan - Smith College View Entire Review
I learned that work doesn't have to be your life. The people here focus so much more on the relationships that they build, and work is just something they do to sustain themselves. A student - Amherst College View Entire Review
I think I picked up a lot of Spanish and improved my listening skills. I would say this program was definitely worthwhile. A student - Smith College View Entire Review
Aside from improving my Spanish, I learned a lot about myself and what I value as an individual while abroad. I would definitely do this program and have this experience over again because I think that the changes I've noticed in myself are truly wonderful. I also have come to appreciate living in the United States. I realize no... A student - Smith College View Entire Review
I learned to adapt to a new culture by making friendships with local students, having meals with my host family, and listening attentively to the news. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I gained more confidence in myself and my Spanish ability. It was definitely worthwhile. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
On top of improving my language skills and gaining a new appreciation for Wellesley, I feel like I have become more confident and independent. I am more comfortable being uncomfortable and putting myself out there. Alexei Girod - Wellesley College View Entire Review
My Spanish improves a lot and I have become more confident in my abilities to use it even if it is still not perfect.I learned about a whole new way of life. I learned how to adapt to a new lifestyle and to a new academic environment. I became even more independent. Emily Dougherty - Colby College View Entire Review
I learned a lot of Spanish, and also a lot about myself. It was definitely worthwhile, even when it was difficult I was still learning a lot. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review

I learned how to be comfortable with being uncomfortable. A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Spain is a whole new world, it was worthwhile for me and enjoyed it a lot but it was nothing like I expected A student - Smith College View Entire Review
I improved at Spanish which was my primary goal. I need to keep working on it to reach the level of fluency that I want (I believe I could communicate any idea I want and understand what people are talking about but there are areas where I could have a better vocabulary like in the kitchen and I still make some grammar mistakes ... I gain more vocabulary and built new friendships with the colleges involved in the PRESHCO program. Yes, they are all Americans which is great because I can see them next semester and we would have this experience to share. I've learned that I have different views and I think differently than my host parents. I've had mentally s... A student - Smith College View Entire Review

I learned that I can do it. I had a lot of doubts about being able to study abroad in a country whose first language is not English. I am glad to have proven myself wrong. I have also learned that traveling and putting yourself out there (sometimes in uncomfortable social situations) is so rewarding at the end of the day. Finall... I loved traveling and the experience of doing that on my own gave me a lot of confidence. I felt so brave and I was able to go out of my comfort zone and do things like sing in Karaoke and just feel like I could do anything. I feel a lot more sure of myself and of course that makes the whole thing worthwhile A student - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I was able to improve my Spanish skills significantly (especially a stronger confidence to speak, writing speed, and comprehension ability) I also felt more of a confidence of existing in a city alone. Sounds weird, but Cordoba is a safe city and small city, so it feels nice and welcome to go to a cafe and drink tea alone. Sabina Unni - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I became much better at writing and speaking Spanish. I am happy I went abroad, but if given the chance to do it again I would choose a different program and city. A student - Colby College View Entire Review
Yes. See above. A student - Colby College View Entire Review
It was worthwhile. My Spanish improved an amazing amount and I made some great friends that I want to stay in touch with! A student - Smith College View Entire Review
I learned that going to a completely different culture is difficult, but overall worth it at the end. Haleigh Anderson - Smith College View Entire Review
I leaned about myself as a person what it is that I really enjoy and a stronger sense of independence. I wouldn't change my experience at all. Liliana Mayorga - Wellesley College View Entire Review
