Overall Experience
-Spanish comprehension skills -some speaking skills -confidence in traveling alone -confidence to find and make friends - Smith College View Entire Review
I obviously gained improved knowledge of the Spanish language and culture, but I would say that I gained even more in learning to adjust to an entirely unfamiliar environment and in becoming a more independent person while abroad. I definitely consider my experience abroad to be worthwhile. - Colby College View Entire Review

A student studying abroad with PRESHCO: Study Abroad in Córdoba, Spain
I gained so much from this experience; in addition to gaining fluency and confidence in my Spanish, I also learned so much about the country and the culture through conversations with Spanish people, watching the news, etc. I think it was an invaluable experience to step outside the US, and gain a more global perspective on our ... - Smith College View Entire Review

I learned a lot about myself, about Spain, about what it's like to live abroad (both how hard and surprisingly easy it is). - Smith College View Entire Review
Past Review La Vida Andaluza
I learned that one of the best ways to grow as a student, traveler, and person in general is to challenge yourself and embrace discomfort. The experience went by very quickly, so it also taught me more how to live in the moment. - Oberlin College View Entire Review
Language skills, more confidence in my Spanish, yes it was worthwhile - Smith College View Entire Review
Past Review Una Maravillosa
I learned a lot about Spanish culture, and my Spanish improved immensely! - Colby College View Entire Review
I learned so much about experiencing other cultures and how people lived. It was incredibly worthwhile to immerse myself in a culture that wasn't my own. - Smith College View Entire Review
Being abroad has taught me where my comfort zone ends and what circumstances will lead me to step out of it. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I had an amazing time! I loved my host family. I made several great friends, both with other people in the program and with Spaniards. I loved the food, the excursions, and the cultural classes. My Spanish has definitely improved and I overall had a lot of fun. I would highly recommend this program. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I drastically improved my Spanish, made relationships with locals I will never forget, gained confidence, and learned a lot of amazing history! - Oberlin College View Entire Review
I learned so much about Spanish culture, the language, and how to live in a foreign place. I made incredible friends and had an incredible host stay. It was amazing to look back to the beginning of the semester when it was hard for me to express simple thoughts or ask questions in Spanish and by the end of the semester, I was ex... - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Past Review Great!
I gained experience living in a different culture, which was very valuable. - Smith College View Entire Review
I learned how to live a different lifestyle than I was used to in many ways. I also learned valuable skills in terms of spending money, traveling, and making friends. It was definitely worthwhile. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
Past Review Amazing Friends
It was worthwhile! I learned that lack of confidence was something I really need to work on, surrounding yourself with the language is KEY, and that the people you surround yourself with can make or break the experience. - Smith College View Entire Review
Past Review Spain
I learned a lot about myself as cheesy as it sounds. I learned about the communities I want to build, what environments work or dont work for me, and I was constantly reminded of why I love Spanish and how it opens up a new worlds for me. I think people would be shock when I say the program was worthwhile even though many people... - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned how to deal with different and uncomfortable situations and I gained a better understanding of Spanish culture and life. I'm glad that I had the opportunity to spend time in Spain and learn about topics from a different perspective. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned about my American identity and have a deeper appreciation for the US and my family. I think it was significantly worthwhile to be abroad, but I wish that I did have to endure some of the demoralizing aspects of my specific host family. However, I appreciate "home" so, so much more now. - Wellesley College View Entire Review
I learned more about Spanish culture and politics. - Smith College View Entire Review
I learned the vastness of human perspective and understanding. One thing in spanish for a spanish speaker from latin america can mean something very different to a spanish speaker from here. - Smith College View Entire Review
Studying abroad was definitely worthwhile experience!! I really liked how Cordoba is like a large town so you can get a city feel but there's also still events, festivals, celebrations that I'm not sure if you could find in other larger cities in Spain. But I think in Cordoba there's more of a community feel than larger cities, ... - Smith College View Entire Review
