I gained friendships, professional learning experiences I can apply to my career, a connection to my Irish roots, personal growth from traveling independently, as well as networking opportunities.

The pace of the lectures and the nature of the assignments were challenging.

Dr. Anne Walsh, Maria Brady, Barney Keenan, Safia Waller, and Agnes Mangan were all fantastic people and professionals who were very welcoming, encouraging, and supportive.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Corrib Village is great! The towel and linen service was exceptional and they always were accommodating if you had a request for towels earlier than their planned visits.

* Food:

The food was great at the DayToday! The cafeteria food was also great!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I felt completely welcome and integrated in the local Galway culture!

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Galway is a very safe city and I felt very comfortable walking the streets at any hour of the day or night.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I love Galway.The people who ran the program and the professors and other speakers were great! The cultural experiences and excursions were extremely rewarding. The program also provided some complimentary food and drink for the whole group. The friends I made and the times we shared were priceless. I look forward to going back to Ireland soon!!!

  • Students in the program would enjoy open-discussion and other engaging ways of presenting the course material in addition to lectures.
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? It's cold in Ireland! Even in the summer, you need pants, a jumper (sweatshirt), and a rain jacket far more than you need to pack shorts or short sleeved shirts.
