About

The International Communication and the International Workplace program (formerly Organizational and International Communication in Paris) will introduce students to the similarities and differences in international communication and organizational communication between the United States and the European Union member nations, with an emphasis on France and Belgium.  In addition, the program will cover issues of intercultural and interpersonal communication.  The program adds the international component to many of the courses within the Department of Communication, as it becomes essential to understand culture when communicating with people from other places, whatever the context.

This is an excellent program for students who are preparing themselves for positions with multinational or global firms where international communication knowledge and skills are an asset.  Past participants of this program have found positions both domestically and internationally that take advantage of the unique knowledge that comes from experiencing communication in other places.

Excursions to Belgium (Brussels, Antwerp and Bruges) as well as Chartres, France are included in the program.
