Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Research wise - pretty good Commercial wise - a terrible disaster! I am serious. Absolutely no intention to help/guide the student make a penny once they graduate! This university is really expensive, is not worth your money and time! People are literally stuck abroad for years paying for their loans in this uni! Even if you get the highest paid job in Germany you might not pay it earlier than 2-3 years!

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Read carefully!!!! The Electrical Engineering and Computer Science program was very very broad and hence completely ineffective carreer wise. This university cost literally a fortune with little specialization. You might argue that is not the purpose of a Bachelor. Not in this case. As soon as you graduate you got to pay off your loan with interest which can't wait 2 more years of master as the interest builds up or in anycase you pay 2 more years of interest.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

That is no issue.

* Food:

Good, bad for the money.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

International university - is a joke - there is no exchange, just Africans by themselves, romanians by themselves germans by themselves. You would better go in a holiday in Ibitza for 1% of the cost of this uni and you get to meet more people. Otherwise Bremen is black whole not to mention the campus is in the middle of an elderly neighbourhood 30km away from the city center.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Bring your own insurance!

* Safety:

There is no-one to harm you there other than the university itself. You might go crazy most probably after you graduate!

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? No

The university is freaking expensive for someone from a developing country (and not only!!). You are bound for 3 + 3 (sometimes 2 more if you do a master) till you pay your loans. There are people with loans running till their 30's ! That is 9 years!!!!!!!!

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

no

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? close to 0
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Yes. There are americans which use loans to finance their studies. You are welcome for this uni probably is cheap for you. If you are an european, there are free universities in big cities. This university cost a fortune. You will be paying years! 1/3 of the graduate student body can't keep up with their payments. My total amount based on their payback plan was 40 000 Euros !!!!! I was young and inexperience at that time. Just don't take a loan!

* What did you like most about the program?
  • good professors
* What could be improved?
  • finance!!!
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? What a loan of 25 000 euro entails ! The university academic-wise is good, for research for general knowledge. But the financial / commercial career of it is a disaster!!!
