Enjoy the local specialties of the Brittany region including galettes, cider, and caramel while taking part in the many festivals hosted in Rennes. Rennes is known as a university town because a quarter of its population is made up by students. Students attending the Université de Rennes 2 take courses in the Arts, Letters, Humanities, and Social Sciences. ISEP students have the option of taking courses taught in French alongside French university students. For students wishing to focus on French language and culture, they may enroll in a full-time French language and culture program at the Center for International Students (CIREFE) during semester 2 only.
The university has strong departments of art, French, geography, history, languages and literature. Remote sensing and automatic cartography facilities are available. Iberian and Latin American studies, French as a Foreign Language methodology, and Celtic studies are highly recommended offerings.
Students typically enroll in 12-20 hours of class per week. A term runs for 12-13 weeks.
