Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

I would have liked to meet more local students to get a real vibe for a abroad school. It was too much like an american university placed in an amazing setting.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

a very new program so was missing good communication.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

great space, simple and had the basics. could have made more things happen in the common areas to get us more involved with each other, kind of isolating rooming situations. it felt mostly safe, and there was a grocery store, and travel agency in the student union, very close. and a few pubs right next door to campus!

* Food:

had to buy/supply your own. was given first milk, cereal, and sandwich supplies.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

loch ness. isle of skye. land yatching.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

free medical care for you! so awesome.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • the controversial courses
* What could be improved?
  • more non-americans
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? take the weekend trips! you might be up late studying, but its worth a short flight to dublin set up by the campus travel agency. dont even be shy, especially when you're out, you want to meet new types of people, and get their info to keep in contact

Comments: I would have liked to see more of an explanation of religions, with less assumption that people knew all the terms for multiple religious things. Prof did an excellent job of making us feel like we're welcome. even celebrated our 4th of july in class
