Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The first family I staid with was awful (The Borboia's), but the second family was wonderful. And ISA was acted brilliantly throughout placing me with a different host family. They couldn't have moved me more efficiently.

* Food:

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

While, I was there, it rained constantly. But, that is completely unusual for Seville. Seville is a wonderful place and I hope to be able to go back someday.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

ISA will take care of you! Of course it isn't a good idea to wander around, by yourself, but even if you do end up alone Seville is a pretty safe city.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

Language acquisition improvement?

I practiced with my teachers and host parents. I did need to use the language daily and few people spoke English outside of my University.

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? If you have a problem with the host family. Move sooner than later. I tried to work things out with my family until there was only one month left. ISA moved me quickly, but I only had one month to spend with the family I should have been with the whole time :(
