Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The ISA staff in Spain was SO helpful. They were available at every possible moment and were willing to go to extreme lengths to help my roommates and me.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I do regret not living with a host family. I think that, had I chosen to live with a host family, I would have gained greater skills in the language speaking.

* Food:

The food was definitely...different. It was really hard for those who were vegetarians.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The weekend trips with ISA were incredible. Planning trips with my friends was also really, really fun and I loved it!

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Studying in Sevilla felt extremely safe. In fact, sometimes I felt safer in Europe than I do in the states! ISA aided in health-problems greatly.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
Language acquisition improvement?

I practiced the language with my teachers and the locals. I needed to use the host country language in everyday interactions with people at the grocery stores, at shops, or at restaurants! Since I studied in a less-than-metropolitan city, not everyone spoke english.

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
