Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

They were about equal. The only difference was the grading system.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

They were incredible. They were our good friends, mentors, helpers, teachers, etc. They always helped us with any travel plans or problems, they always provided advice and even answered our Spanish language questions. They did everything they could to help us and were always kind. My expectations were exceeded.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I was put in Triana, the best place to live. It was close to school, shopping, nightlife, and everything else. It was also very safe because it was they family area. I didn't need to buy anything other than toiletries. My host family was incredible, especially my host mom. Our host brother took us out around town and to cultural events we wouldn't have known about, and treated us like good friends. The entire family was great.

* Food:

The home cooked meals were great. No complaints.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

I loved how the program brought all us ISA students together. I made the best friends of my life and it really helped that ISA arranged so many events for us.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Everything was very safe. A lot safer than I thought it was going to be. I didn't use any healthcare services. A director gave me a bandaid once.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?

Language acquisition improvement?

Intercambios, homestays, school directors, teachers, everyday life, etc. No, most people did not speak English. I had to use Spanish every day.
