I highly recommend living with a host family. It is not as awkward as a person thinks it will be. Living with a family allowed me to learn the language and culture more completely.

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

My class, host family, and friends. Yes. Most of the younger generation knew English but Spanish was still necessary for everyday interactions.
