Studying abroad made me realize what kind of place I would like to live in. It was great being in a city. I learned a lot of positives and negatives during my stay. - Providence College View Entire Review
Yes. It was such a good experience living and bonding with my home-stay mates and just roaming around the city. Especially coming from a rural background, the study abroad gave me a much more expansive experience. - Wesleyan University View Entire Review
I feel that I gained so much insight on the world by studying abroad. I had traveled around Europe a lot before coming here, but I feel that living in a new place opened my eyes up to Europe, and the world, so much more. It also gave me a lot more confidence in who I am, and I feel that I am still finding ways that studying abro... - University of Minnesota - Duluth View Entire Review
I returned having such a greater appreciation for everything that shaped me into the person I am today. The cool thing is, is that this respect only continues to thrive now that I am becoming more educated on world events and international history. The thirst for knowledge upon return seems insatiable and the drive to take advan... - Ohio State University - Columbus View Entire Review

I gained a whole new cultural perspective in a positive way. I think the reverse culture shock is more difficult than the original culture shock I experienced upon entering Spain. I would love to go back if I could. My host family has already welcomed me back into their home. - University of Denver View Entire Review
My experience was worthwhile. I gained a greater cultural understanding from this program and an open mindness about the world. My future plans are to have a career where I can live and work abroad or work mfor some study abroad program. And of course, to go abroad again. - Virginia Commonwealth University View Entire Review

I'm a semester behind because of it and I still wouldn't change a thing. - Illinois State University View Entire Review
Every single aspect of my experience abroad was worthwhile. Even when I was pick pocketed and had to apply for a new passport in a country whose language I did not speak. Everything was a learning experience for me. Being able to experience different cultures is not something everyone gets to do. I had the opportunity to go to M... - Oklahoma State University - Stillwater View Entire Review
It was definitely worthwhile. It taught me a lot about the Spanish culture, language, and myself in such a foreign environment. I got to see so many beautiful places and experience amazing opportunities. Even though I was homesick so of the time I was there, I now would love to go back! - Westminster College, MO View Entire Review
I would go again in a heartbeat. Everyone should go abroad at least once in their life and everyone should go to Granada ( I might be biased). I would also recommend and ISA programs. - Texas A&M - College Station View Entire Review

YES. I learned what kind of life attitude I needed to have to be happy and how to balance work and social life. I developed a wider understanding of the way countries interact in a global economy and the impact just one ruler can have. It instilled a strong desire to continue to travel. I have become an addict :)! - Hamline University View Entire Review

I have learned to love everyone, no matter how friendly they are to you. I have also learned that learning a different language is an extremely difficult thing, so I have more patience with those learning English. This has made me want to teach English to foreigners. - Missouri State University View Entire Review
I had a lot of fun. It let me look at how Europeans live and think. It hasn't drastically changed my overall outlook on life. - Cornell University View Entire Review
I learned how to slow down and not rush as much. This is good because I am a very impatient person. I think this was the most worthwhile thing I have ever done. I plan on teaching English in Spain once I graduate (hopefully in Granada). I want to live in Granada forever. - Clemson University View Entire Review
I think it was. It was a refreshing get away from American society and I really enjoyed that aspect of it - Trinity University View Entire Review

One of the best things I got out of my abroad experience was that I leaped from studying Spanish to understanding how to communicate in another language. I saw things that I'd never seen or even imagined, and I learned that there was a bigger world out there. I heard another country's opinions and how they view the world.
