Buenos Aires: An Acquired Taste Past Review

By (International Studie, Texas A&M - College Station) for

ISA Study Abroad in Buenos Aires, Argentina

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Yes. While I was there I experienced a broad range of emotions (like everyone I suppose), with a lot of them being negative. The fact that my girlfriend and I were going through hard times made it that much harder for me. I set unrealistic expectations for myself and so was disappointed when I didn't achieve some of them. It was absolutely worthwhile and I think every student should put themselves in this kind of situation because you just learn so much about yourself.

Personal Information

How much international exposure did you have prior to this program? 1 month - 6 months

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Honestly this was not challenging at all. You could do next to nothing, miss whole weeks at a time, and still pass every class. I liked it because it allowed me to travel a lot while I was there but I didn't learn anything in my classes, other than my intensive month which was good.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Their knowledge and ability to help and everything was really wonderful. There were a ton of students which I thought was its only downfall.

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)
