IPSL Global Institute at NUNM offers two international graduate programs: International Development & Service (IDS), and Community Organizing and Social Activism (COSA). Students will earn a 'Master in Arts' degree after completion of the four-term program. Students choose whether they do their terms abroad or online (at least one term abroad is required). The online courses (& indirect service) are run by the same in-country faculty, scholars and scholar-practitioners and grassroots organizations with which IPSL collaborates. Students have the opportunity to choose courses from all current program locations (Greece, Guatemala, Vietnam, South Africa and Colombia). Currently students are doing their terms in-person in Guatemala, Colombia and South Africa. Greece and Vietnam remain online only options but their borders should open soon. In addition, you can study and/or do a practicum abroad while enrolled in your own graduate program. Students can attend IPSL courses if they choose. Past graduate students on IPSL programs have worked with their home institution faculty in ensuring that their courses abroad meet the home institution graduate program course department requirements.
Since 1994, IPSL graduate programs have been designed to meet the international demand for ethical leaders who can effectively engage and facilitate partnerships and empower communities. IPSL Graduate programs prepare participants for careers with nonprofit, government, and community development organizations through an interdisciplinary program that combines credit-bearing coursework, ethical volunteer service and advocacy research opportunities.
The IPSL Global Institute at NUNM is authorized to offer academic credit, issue official transcripts and confer diplomas through the Master's level.
