About

Financial Aid is available for eligible students. IPSL accepts AmeriCorps Segal Education awards, too.

Explore the birthplace city of Georg Friedrich Händel (including his home) and have access to some of Germany's other great cities on IPSL's Halle, Germany program. There is no better place to study German than in Germany itself with native speakers AND if you choose to include volunteer service in your program all the better for learning the language faster! PLEASE CONTACT IPSL FOR MORE DETAILS.

You can choose to study non-intensive (3 days per week/4 hours per day) or intensive study (5 days per week/4 hours per day. In addition to 'regular' language classes IPSL's NGO partner offers combination German language and volunteer opportunities in several different areas. Each combination program includes 3 hours of German language study per week, but you will be able to add more if you want.

*Teach English & Study German

*Volunteer with Refugees

*Writing and German language

You'll be taught by native speakers and you'll learn to speak, write and read Standard German. The lessons are held in small, international groups with modern teaching methods, so that learning German is fun.
IPSL has emphasized language learning since 1981 because they know that higher levels of language proficiency can facilitate a more rewarding international experience. Being able to communicate with people in their language increases your ability to make meaning out of the experiences you have while abroad. In addition, merely making the effort to learn someone else's language is a demonstrative way to show people that you care and are interested in who they are and often paves the way to long-lasting friendships. And of course, students need to know at least one other language to compete in today’s global job market. For these reasons and more, IPSL Global Institute offers this exceptional Language and Volunteering program in Germany.
