Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Very impressed with the organization of IBS. They run a schedule and they run it diligently. The leaders were thorough in their instructions and provided the tools necessary to fully take advantage of the trip.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The hotels we stayed in were all standard hotels. Everything worked right and everyone was able to sleep comfortably.

* Food:

The food was more up to us and we were free to go out and eat what we pleased. So I don't think this really applies to my particular program.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

IBS did a great job of providing the know-how and knowledge of each countries individual culture that we traveled to. We were prepared and aware of what to expect and were ready to deal with any problem that may have occurred.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

Anyone who was sick was taken care of well

* Safety:

Generally traveling in a large group, it was easy to feel safe in an unknown environment. Each country we traveled to were told of the level of danger we may face and how to protect our belongings and selves from potential danger.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Of course, it was tough to budget traveling to five countries in two weeks. But eating is something you may just have to cut back on. Eat snacks instead of meals, and watch out for how much alcohol you drink.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Probably around $1500
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? eating is something you may just have to cut back on. Eat snacks instead of meals, and watch out for how much alcohol you drink.
