Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

Food wasn't included but European food was really good!

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

I had to see a doctor in a hospital, I didn't notify my programs faculty right away because it wasn't a big deal and I was able to take care of it in my free time. However, there was a huge difference in public and private health care which was interesting to see.

* Safety:

Felt safe everywhere except Geneva. Lots of prostitutes, drug dealers and creepy men

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

I would do IBS again but wish the program was longer!

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I spent $600-$800 a week but that includes food, personal expenses, lots of activities and some shopping. $600-$800 was the recommended amount to plan on spending a week by IBS, I found it accurate.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? $600-$800
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? The Innsbruck card wasn't very beneficial Book plane tickets through IBS
