Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

In my opinion, the workload in and out of the classrooms was as challenging as you wanted it to be. We had a stimulating environment, experienced professors, and all the resources we needed to learn as much as possible. I think in the end, it was up to the students to really apply themselves and connect what we were learning in the classroom with the cultural experiences of that particular region along with the executive meetings. I was in the MBA program, and although we were in the same classes as the undergraduate students, I believe the professors graded the MBA students to a higher standard.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

The program was strong in that it offered a lot. There are so many different options to choose from as far as the program, the classes, the visits etc. I thought a little more organization was needed when it came to the classes but then again it is difficult to manage 100 young adults all between the ages of 17-26.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

* Food:

There were tons of restaurants around each of the hotels we stayed at. Hugo picked some really great locations.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Every city as so much to see. My favorite is probably the hike we went on in Interlaken, Switzerland. It wasn't an organized activity but many of us including students and professors got together and went.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

At one point there was some kind of cold/virus going around. We were advised to be careful and not drink after each other and get enough rest and sleep.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • How broad it was and how many different countries we covered.
* What could be improved?
  • The organziation and support services.
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? This program absolutely changed my life in so many ways. I was extremely skeptical about this trip because it seemed too good to be true. Even up until the second I walked into the hotel, I was nervous about what to expect, but once I met the other students and professors, from that point on, it was AMAZING! It is such a fast-paced program, but you really have the chance to to do it all. Between the classes, homework, corporate visits, sightseeing, traveling, it is tiring but worth every minute. There are only a limited number of programs for MBA students that are from an accredited (AACSB) university, that are so business-focused. That's why I could not let this opportunity with FN go. I was really excited to meet with some really huge corporations and make networks there that could possibly be useful in the future. The other thing I really enjoyed is how most afternoons/evening and weekends we had the liberty to do whatever we wanted after class and the professional visits. Overall, it was one of the best times of my life, and would do it again in a heartbeat. Now that I have graduated, I need another reason to go!
