Forum-Nexus: Ultimate Summer in Europe - 9 Cities in 1 Month

What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
The cultural experience is one of a kind. You will learn the qualities of life from so many different perspectives, that it will in turn change the way you think and feel about your own quality of life. Forum Nexus philosophies are derived from the fact that expanding your international IQ will help you expand your own personal horizons; whether it be in your career, education, or personal life. You will come out of this program with a clear understanding of who you are and what surrounds you. It will propel you to make better sound decisions in your future. The learning experience is unique like no other, you learn at prestigious universities throughout Europe from world renowned professors and businessmen, and then utilize what you learn by engaging in professional visits to large corporations and world organizations. The adventures are endless. Europe is an adventurers playground, from everything to ancient landmarks, famous buildings, amazing mountains and coastlines, outdoor sports, local events, night life, and all with other students from all over the world who will be doing the program with you; who also become best friends for life!

Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

Learning with Forum-Nexus uses the hands-on approach as students learn from world renowned professors from all over the world, and then utilize what they learn in the classroom through Forum-Nexus's exclusive professional visits where students get a chance to meet top executives and learn the value chains of large and prestigious corporations and world organizations. In addition to the workload (which is moderate compared to the free time you will have) and professional visits, students are also involved in a International IQ workshop headed by the executive director of Forum Nexus, Dr. Hervitz (A CNN Deportes commentator and author of the ground-breaking IKAT assessment test) which enhances the student's international IQ and broadens their horizons.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Professors and staff are very knowledgeable of their surroundings for each country you visit. They will give you insight on what to visit, where to sight see, what the cool things are to do at night, and arrange several outings. Each professor possesses the language skills and knowledge to make every day an enjoyable one. Logistically, the program is precise and a weekly schedule is put in place that lets students know where they need to be and at which times. It is very organized at the proof is in the pudding; Forum Nexus has been doing this for over 22 years.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The hotels are top notch. Double occupancy and all the amenities you would expect including wireless internet. The best part about the hotels is that they are centrally located in each city you go to, which means great access to more fun; and it's all footsteps away.

* Food:

Daily breakfast is provided at all the hotels, so you never have to pay for breakfast. Anything you want is there! Including some local breakfast favorites. All other meals are at the student's sole expense, but the local restaurants in every city you visit are fairly cheap and very very good. I would budget about 10-25 USD a day for food (depending on how well you budget your money, and of course, how much you eat). One of the best part about the food is trying all the trying all the local cuisines and some of the most famous food cities in the entire world.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

No other program offers you the opportunity to experience so many different cultures at one time. Be in Spain and speaking spanish in one day, and the next day be in France still speaking Spanish because you forget that you're not in Spain anymore (culture shock like whoaaaa). Learn from the locals the ways of life of many different cultures on a weekly basis.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Travelers insurance is provided in the program fee and health issues are addressed accordingly. All professors are CPR and safety trained to provide immediate assistance on the spot. If your worried about safety at night, most students travel in large groups and set periodic meeting points throughout the night in order to facilitate smooth transitions. Also, the professors are like your best friends, and often go out on the town with you (in order to keep a tight grasp on things)!

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

* Did your program have a foreign language component? Yes
If applicable, to what degree did your living situation aid your language acquisition?
