About

Semester, Year, Summer, Custom-length. This study abroad program focuses on full cultural and language immersion. It will boost your language proficiency and give you confidence to converse in Russian more freely. You will live in Kharkov, an educational and cultural center of Ukraine. Speakers of all levels are welcome! You will take language classes at Karazin University and participate in speaking and cultural immersion activities outside of classroom. Students receive a transcript from a fully-accredited university upon the completion of the program.

Eastern European Study Abroad - EESA Scholarships

up to $2,500

Deadlines:
Fall Semester: March 1 Spring Semester: October 15 Summer: April 1

Guidelines/Requirements:
Minimum GPA: 2.50 Scholarship Question: Evaluate your budget for studying abroad. Please provide specific amounts of how much education costs for you now, your anticipated financial aid award, any scholarships or other sources of financing you plan to use, your savings for study abroad and your total financial need. Describe why you want to study with EESA. Describe your goals and expectations and how completing a study abroad program will influence them.

Students may apply for the EESA Correspondent Grant to receive $100 in addition to any awarded EESA scholarship. Recipients will be required to maintain an online blog with EESA about their experience abroad and contribute to it at least once every two weeks.

Scholarship Question: Describe why you chose to study abroad for a full year versus a semester and how this experience will benefit you. Outline your achievement and goals and what led up to your decision to study abroad with EESA. Evaluate your study abroad budget, being as specific with numbers as possible: how much education costs for you now, your sources of financing, anticipated financial aid award etc.

Summer deadline: April 1

Guidelines/Requirements:
Minimum GPA: 2.50 Scholarship Question: Describe why you chose to study abroad in the summer with EESA and what you plan to achieve while abroad. Evaluate your study abroad budget by providing specific numbers for your anticipated resources and expenses.

This is a merit-based scholarship. Apply early and refer friends to receive even further discounts. Contact us to learn how to have your entire cost covered.
