The University of Vienna was founded in 1365 and is the oldest university in the German speaking world. Over 72,000 students are enrolled in more than 170 courses. It is the largest teaching and research institution in Austria with over 6200 scientists and academics. It offers a wide range of courses in German Language and European Studies, and provides a wonderful atmosphere for making new friends from all over the world. Students, adults, and teachers come here from various countries to learn German, take European Studies, and experience the rich culture of Austria and the Viennese way of life.

Summer German Language courses:  Beginner, Intermediate and Advanced. 15 lessons per week (each lesson is 45 minutes) – 60 lessons per month. See Dates and Fees section for schedule and costs. Classes held from 9:00 am – 12:00 noon, M-F.


German Language Vienna:

* Small group classes: maximum 16 students per class.
* German language classes taught in German. (morning / afternoon).
* Minimum age in Vienna: 16.
* Placement test given there to determine proper level.
* Text Books used in class include: Delfin (Elem) / Hauptkurs, Abschlusskurs, Dreyer-Schmitt, used for Intermdiate and Advanced. Textbooks cost 26 – 37 euros.
