What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
Before I studied abroad in Shanghai, I knew very little about my cultural. Studying abroad made me realize how much there is to learn about China and the world. This program helped me interact with local students and taught me how to adapt to a new environment.

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

All the classes I took was unique. My classes took me on trips to restaurants, art galleries and factories so we can learn first handed how business was run.

On-site administration of your program

On-site assistance was great. The program director and teachers were really helpful.

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Stayed in an international building, the rooms were clean and roomy compared to the standard Chinese dorms. The international dorms allowed us to interact with other students from around the world.

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

The program director set up many cultural activities. For example calligraphy, learning taiji and making dumplings.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Definitely eat at local restaurant, the food is great and cheaper.

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish I explored more of Shanghai, my friends and I travelled almost every weekend but we never really explored the city we were staying in.
