What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I got significantly better at Spanish while living with my host family. I learned to budget my money better and I got very skilled at planning travel. It was better than I could have expected.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Try to work and save as much as possible the semesters prior to studying abroad so that you don't have to worry about money as much! You'll want to do so many different things and go different places and try new restaurants!

I did not take any language classes, but our program had optional sessions where we could practice our Spanish with locals.
