Guidelines/Requirements:
GPA: 2.5; Scholarship Application and Recommendation Form (found on the CEA website); Letter of Recommendation; An original 400-500 word essay reflecting on the following quote and describing why it is important to gain “a new way of seeing things” and how you will achieve this while studying abroad: "One's destination is never a place, but a new way of seeing things." – Henry Miller

For CEA students who are interested in pursuing a career with global ties.

$400-$2000

Deadlines:
April 10 (Summer), May 10 (Fall), November 15 (Spring)

Guidelines/Requirements:
GPA: 3.0; Scholarship Application and Recommendation Form (both found on the CEA website); Letter of Recommendation; An original 400-500 word essay reflecting on the following quote and describing your career goals and how the skills and attributes you hope to gain while studying abroad will support your professional endeavors: "All major hiring companies need global citizens. For CEA students who wish to study abroad in France and are involved in co-curricular activities centered on multi-cultural or international issues at their home campus. CEA studying at our sites in Aix-en-Provence, Paris, the French Alps, and the French Riviera are eligible to apply.

For CEA students who demonstrate a high need for additional funding.

Guidelines/Requirements:
GPA: 2.5; Scholarship Application and Recommendation Form (found on CEA website); Letter of Recommendation; and Financial Need Scholarship Form (Found on CEA website -- work with the financial aid office at your home institution to complete the form)

For CEA students who excel academically.

$750-$3,000

Deadlines:
April 10 (Summer), May 10 (Fall), November 15 (Spring)

Guidelines/Requirements:
GPA: 3.7; Scholarship Application and Recommendation Form (both found on CEA website); and an original 400-500 word essay reflecting on the following quote and describing how you look forward to ‘learning, unlearning, and relearning’ and how you will accomplish your learning/unlearning goals during your study abroad experience: "The illiterate of the 21st century will not be those who cannot read and write, but those who cannot learn, unlearn, and relearn." – Alvin Toffler

For CEA students from diverse backgrounds or students who have had a personal experience with diversity

CEA has partnered with the Institute of International Education's Generation Study Abroad, a five-year initiative that strives to double the number of U.S. college students who study abroad, to offer this scholarship to CEA students
