I wouldn't change this experience for anything in the world. I got to see the world, truly immerse myself in Spanish culture to the point where I felt as though I were Spanish myself, made so many friends, improved my Spanish skills immensely, and gained loads of confidence. The last two days of the semester were incredibly diff... - Illinois State University View Entire Review
I feel that I've grown so much as a person from coming to Spain. I would have chosen a different program to go with, but I still enjoyed the time that I had! - Illinois State University View Entire Review
I have learned a lot while studying abroad. My language skills have definitely improved and I have grown as a person. I have become more confident in my abilities and less afraid of what people think of me. I also know now that I do not want to come back to live in Europe. I really loved being here for a semester but I know that... - Illinois State University View Entire Review
I LOVED this program, and this will be something that I will share with people for the rest of my life. I learned to appreciate my own culture along with other people's culture during the process, and this will continue when I return to the United States. I learned a lot more Spanish than I would have taking the equivalent cours... - Illinois State University View Entire Review

I gained a large sense of independence and learned a lot about my personal morals and values. I have more of a global mindset now and am much better at speaking Spanish. This was really beneficial to me as an International Business major. I'd recommend going abroad for at least a couple of weeks (short term program). It will... - Cardinal Stritch University View Entire Review
This experience was definitely worthwhile. I learned a lot about Spanish culture and I'm really excited to go back home and share everything that I learned with all of my friends and family. I also became a lot more independent since I had to do a lot of stuff myself since my parents weren't here to do it for me. - Illinois State University View Entire Review

Yes, it was eye-opening to live away from home and be totally on my own. I learned to be more independent and to get out of my comfort zone. - Illinois State University View Entire Review
I grew up in a small town with a genuine lack of diversity and history. After studying abroad, I am more aware of the world - whether its history, politics, family dynamics, or gastronomics, I feel like a more informed and well-rounded person. I now have a greater confidence in myself - if I can live and thrive in a foreign coun... - University of Wisconsin - LaCrosse View Entire Review
My Spanish speaking skills grew immensely. - Illinois State University View Entire Review
My study abroad experience was more than worthwhile; it was essential to my growth as a world citizen and a student. I wouldn't change a thing. - University of Kentucky View Entire Review
The entire experience was so much more than I could have ever expected or asked for. I've always been culturally sensitive, but it wasn't until this experience that I realized how important mutual respect is among cultures and that even culture itself is a dubious term because there is so much exchange among different countries ... - Indiana University of Pennsylvania View Entire Review
I gained a knowledge about different culture of the world which I don't think you can put a price on. I learned a lot about myself and what I want out of life from this experience. I have gained friendships I incredibly value and experiences I will never forget. This experience has made me think about teaching English in Spain a... - Illinois State University View Entire Review
