Finances

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I spent about 10 euros a week on snacks / leisure activities in Granada, but much more when doing weekend traveling.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Make sure you think of the prices in U.S. dollars when spending and not in Euros.

Language acquisition improvement?

I had to use Spanish with professors, locals, and in my homestay. I used the language everyday and not many people spoke English.
