Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The grading system was based on a 1-10 scale.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

I thought the classes were to long, and therefore hard to focus all class.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

The host family is supposed to be to practice Spanish and learn customs, but most host familys are just a home with a single woman.

* Food:

Don't stay in a homestay. The food was not the greatest.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Make as many local friends as possible.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

Granada was a nice safe town. I loved CEA for my program because when I got sick, they helped me out immediately and set up arrangements for me to go to the hospital. Really caring staff.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? If you plan to travel try and save your money for that instead of everyday spending and shopping.
