Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

We were put in classes with other international study abroad students, so we got a chance to learn with students from different countries.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

There were 600 people in the program during this semester and CEA couldn't handle it too well.

* Housing:

How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

Apartment was new. Hot tub on the roof. Apartment full of American students.

* Food:

Spanish food is different but still great.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

So much to do. We had weekend trips, day trips, and organized night events.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

They told us how to take care of ourselves if we got sick.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Language

Language acquisition improvement?

It was difficult to catch on because people in Barcelona speak Catalan and Spanish.

A Look Back

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? This program is very jappy and the people love to party. You need to be able to tolerate going to class with hungover students.
