Overall Experience
Everything I did in Sydney was 100% worthwhile. I loved everything I got to experience, from traveling to the outback and New Zealand to surfing to just hanging out in a pub with some Sydneysiders. I learned so much about who I am and that I am able to have my own adventures and you never know where that adventure will take you.... - Hood College View Entire Review

If I could describe my experience in Sydney in 3 words, those words would be Informative, relaxing, fun, insightful, lovely, awesome…Ok I know that was definitely more than 3 words but it’s just sooo hard to put a limit to the description of my Journey. Coming to Sydney I was more focused on gaining experience in the workplace t... - Purdue University View Entire Review

I learnt a lot about myself and what my comfort zones are. Living in the city my whole life and then heading to Australia didn't feel like a big difference to me it was a nicer and greater version of America. And with CAPA i have made so many friends from around the U.S. that i still keep in touch with a visit - SUNY - Albany View Entire Review
I've gained so many life long friendships. I've adapted a laid back attitude from the Australians and learned not to stress over the small things. I've also made so many connections that will help me on in the future. It was definitely worthwhile and I wish I could do it all again! - SUNY - College at Oswego View Entire Review

While abroad, I was more freely able to step out of my comfort zone, as high as 12,000 ft in the air, and as low as 60 ft in the waters below. I gained invaluable cultural awareness, experience, the knowledge to successfully live on my own, and the lasting sensation that I can do anything in the world I put my mind to. This experience taught me to get out of my comfort zone and live spontaneously! It was a blast. I became much more sociable after this trip and better at doing things on a whim. About

A breathtakingly beautiful coastal city, Sydney is an exciting and diverse place to study abroad with 120 nationalities and the rhythm of 250 languages spoken here. That means delicious foods from around the world fill the markets and there are international celebrations like Buddha’s Birthday Multicultural Festival to join in on. It can be laid-back, with more than 100 beaches and dozens of coastal walks to enjoy, but it’s also one of the biggest business hubs in the Asia-Pacific region and has been named the “innovation and technology capital of Australia”.

The CAPA Sydney program is based in TAFE NSW Sydney Institute, in a beautiful centrally located heritage building. Our distinctive blend of academic and experiential education takes your learning style, interests, preferences and independence into consideration.

You’ll learn both inside the classroom and beyond, with field studies, excursions, My Global City events, and an (optional) internship placement.
