Overall Experience
My study abroad experience was definitely worthwhile. As cliche as it sounds, I learned so much about myself and I think I am a better stronger person because of my experiences in Europe. After my semester abroad and working with my home international education office I think I am going to try and work with Higher Ed. internatio... - SUNY - College at Oswego View Entire Review
I learned so much about British culture, and how different England is from the US. I also gained a new global perspective, and learned how other countries view major world issues. - University of Delaware View Entire Review
Absolutely! I would do my abroad experience over again if possible. I have realized that I need to continue to open my eyes to new horizons. Going on an international trip has expanded my understanding of other cultures with first hand experience. I definitely am now deciding that I am not going to graduate school right after... - University of Massachusetts Amherst View Entire Review

Past Review Living In London
The experience itself was more than worthwhile. It was truly a once in a lifetime experience where I met some wonderful new friends. - University of Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh View Entire Review
I had an amazing time abroad and wish I could have stayed the whole year. Time few while in London but the memories and friendships made will last a life time. After interning in London, I am considering finding jobs in London and Europe and hopes to move there. - University of Massachusetts Amherst View Entire Review
Yes, I learned a lot about British culture. - University of Minnesota - Twin Cities View Entire Review
London is a very international city, which I wasn't expecting. I met just as many non-English people than I did actual English people. That aspect really opened my eyes to the world on a global level, and that was a benefit of the program I didn't expect to get. - University of Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh View Entire Review
The internship opened my eyes to career possibilities that I had not considered before. I could see myself working in that field now that I have a bit of experience. - CAPA The Global Education Network View Entire Review

My study abroad experience was definitely worthwhile. I'm now doing a directed study this semester on Scottish history during the time of the Jacobites and the battle of Culloden because that's what I studied about while I was there. It was great to meet so many people from different places in the world and experience a differen... - Clark University View Entire Review
I learned SO much about European culture and being on my own and traveling on my own. I would have never been able to have this type of experience anywhere else. I feel much more educated now that I am back at my home university - SUNY - Binghamton View Entire Review
I learn so much about the world and myself while I was in London. I had the chance to be on my own and see what it was like to function as an adult. I also got to travel to amazing countries and meet diverse people from all over the world. It was truly life changing and I would do it again in a heart beat - University of Pittsburgh - Bradford View Entire Review
This was the best experience of my life. Not only did being away from my family and comfort zone force me to learn more about myself, but I learned how to adapt to new situations. This was really helpful when learning about London's culture and when going to countries where I wasn't able to speak the language. I went on two we... - University of Minnesota - Twin Cities View Entire Review

Yes, I had never been abroad before and I fell in love with traveling. I don't consider overseas countries to be as daunting as they were before and going out on my own made me realize I have the confidence and ability to even move back over there someday. - University of Florida View Entire Review

It allowed me to be on my own and really rely on myself. ALso, it broadened my horizons farther than just being with Americans. Living in everyday life in London was so cool and would recommend it to anyone. - DYouville College View Entire Review
Yes. - University of Massachusetts Amherst View Entire Review
This semester abroad actually helped me finally decide what I wanted to do after graduation. I also learned more about myself. Its true what they say about Europe changing a person. I am much more comfortable with things like independence and self-esteem. I would love a chance to do it all again. - University of Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh View Entire Review
Studying abraod in London was the most amazing thing I've ever done, but it was because of what an amazing city it is, not because of the program I chose. London was unlike anywhere I've ever been before and I'm already saving money to go back. - University of Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh View Entire Review
Yes, definitely. I have taken so many great memories and friends with me. - University of Minnesota - Twin Cities View Entire Review
A student studying abroad with CAPA International Education: London Study or Intern Abroad
I lived with four other random students that I have never met before. So just living in another country with 4 strangers was definitely different. We are now best of friends. Learning the culture of another country is not even explainable in words. You just have to be there to know the feeling. The British read newspapers eve... - University of Pittsburgh - Pittsburgh View Entire Review

Take a hop across the pond and you’ll see that CAPA’s London program will always remind you you’re somewhere new. Yes, you will be in an English-speaking country, but from afternoon tea breaks to the various cultures London is home to, you will be surrounded by a set of new experiences. Try your hand at learning some new vocabulary (“trousers” are “pants”, a “flat” is an “apartment”, and let’s not get started on “chips” and “fries”…) as you take the tube (subway) to class. London has always been a center for the arts, from everything to beloved bands like The Beatles to the writings of Virginia Woolf. Enjoy the inspiration that will surround you, and create some of your best work while you create some of your best memories.

The courses, internships, service learning, and cultural activities you'll experience will be unlike anything you've known before. Our courses will challenge and inspire you to come up with new ideas and help change the world. The CAPA London Center is centrally located in the Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea in two Victorian townhouses, giving you an authentic feel of the city. The CAPA London staff are available to provide support as you adapt to a new culture, as well as a 24-hour emergency hotline.
