What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I gained so much knowledge about the world, different cultures, different lifestyles, and and a lot about myself. I learned I was capable of a lot more than I thought. Traveling gives you the most rounded view of the world

CAPA was very helpful, relatively affordable, and all around a well run company. They put you in the best apartments, offered a lot of support, and was always encouraging and helping students find various activities and things to see and visit!


* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

I was pretty capable on living on a student budget when it came to just my necessities, when it came to extra things such as travel and small trips is where it would start to get costly.

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Learn how to cook! Eating out all the time is easy to do, but in Florence, there are so many open markets that sell fresh food and produce, and it is so fun!

* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? How amazing an experience it was going to be. That I shouldn't be scared or nervous of being in a completely new setting, because it was truly the greatest thing I've ever done in my life.
