Focus on French language and the artisan culture in the capital city of Paris. This 12-week program begins with a three-week general intensive French language course during orientation. With this strong linguistic foundation in place, the class transitions to weekly individual support sessions. Rounding out the program, students will follow three courses (field trips and site visits accompany each course):

Art history: Painting, Sculpture in France in the 19th Century - explore an exceptional period and conclude with a visit of Monet’s gardens in Giverny -
Political science: France Today - an introduction to French civics and society -
Business French: An Economy of Creation: Discovering the French Savoir-Faire - steeped in tradition, learn the specific culture surrounding these sectors: fashion (perfume, leather goods, shoemakers); cuisine (chocolatier, wine (from producer to sommelier); art (design, gallery)
