It was, in the way I learned a lot of new things from it. I don't think there's a single word I can pin my entire experience on, but it was definitely worth going. I probably wouldn't go on the same trip, though, because I would like to expand my roots further than just Hangzhou if I had a second chance at studying abroad at Chi...

Yes - I feel like I better understand Asian culture and how a poorer population gets by every day. It's easier for me to understand the whole world as a result of living in China.

Absolutely. My time in China fanned a subtle interest in the nations of the region into a passion for the peoples and cultures of the region. I enthusiastically look forward to returning as soon as my studies allow.

It was a once in a lifetime experience. I had an amazing time while gaining much insight about Chinese culture, history and language. It has given me a better knowledge of how to get around China. It has also planted in me a strong interest to return to the country to work for several years.

Yes it was worthwhile. I learned that China is not as communist as some people think it is. Some students were very open minded and admitted that the government has made many mistakes and needs to be reformed.

Definitely worth while, but I wish I had taken more time to interact with Chinese people and been a little more focused on learning Chinese. The travel and the people were great though.
