What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
My experience was definitely worthwhile. I learned an empathy for ELLs that I could not have learned otherwise. This trip inspired me to desire to learn Spanish. I will always refer to my trip and my knowledge that I gained when working with ELL or culturally different students. I will also encourage every future and current educator to go on a cross cultural learning adventure.

| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | I should have brought a backpack instead of a hiking backpack. It was too big for day travel but worked perfect for our travel to other cities. |
