What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I learned how to keep an open mind. I was able to take back what I learned from Costa Rica and use it in my classroom from day one. My principal told me it's like I have been in a classroom more than just a semester teaching and I told her Costa Rica made me more confident.

| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | I wish I had known there was a lot of pre-work for SFA study abroad. (Not through Dr. A.) There was so much that I honestly may have second guessed my decision on coming. It was very stressful to get it all done, especially for a single mother working two jobs to be able to afford the trip. |
