How satisfied were you with your living arrangements?

I would have like more of a natural housing arrangement. I felt that the estate was very flashy and often drew attention to "the toubobs" in the neighborhood.

If you could do it all over again would you choose the same program? Yes

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? the exchange rate was very different than any other abroad trip because the exchange rate was in our favor.

Do you have any tips/advice on the best ways to practice the language for future study abroad participants? really get into the culture and step outside the house and into public places to experience the way the language is used.

  • living situation and making it more natural
* What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? I wish i took some language lessons in the states before going abroad because that would have made my transition a little easier. learning something simple like greetings and how to say yes/ no/ thank you are important but were also quickly picked up because we were put directly into a different culture.
