NRCSA: Santo Domingo - NRCSA Center

The NRCSA center in Santo Domingo specialize in teaching Spanish to travelers who desire to combine a language learning experience with an exciting, intercultural experience in the Dominican Republic. Founded in 1994 it has become one of the major institutions in the Dominican Republic to offer the instruction of Spanish as a foreign language.

Students may choose to attend classes in either Santo Domingo for a metro-cultural experience or in Sosua for a small town, beach experience. A third option is to split the enrollment time between Santo Domingo and Sosua. Whether the participant decides to study in Santo Domingo or Sosua could depend on the selection of leisure time activities. If the participant wants to combine language studies with acquiring a deeper insight into the cultural and social aspects of Dominican everyday life, then Santo Domingo could be the best choice to make. When sports and nature are your primary interests, then the program in Sosua is recommended.

Accommodation in a homestay with a carefully chosen Dominican family is the recommended lodging option. Single room with shared shower/toilet and 2 meals daily. Homes are a short drive, 30 - 40 minutes, away from the institute. Single room with shower/toilet and half-board (breakfast and dinner). Bed sheets and towels are provided

Another option for lodging is the shared apartments. These shared apartment are just 2 minutes walking distance to school, located in Zona Universitaria. Offer 3 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a fully equipped kitchen, one living room and one dining room. Single room with king-size bed, cable-TV and fan. No meals included. Computer and wireless LAN available for free. Daily cleaning (except on Sundays and holidays); bed sheets and towels are provided, please bring own bath towel.
