Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Helped us feel super comfortable, safe, and knowledgeable about our surroundings.

* Housing:

* Food:

good variety of food to choice for vegetarians at markets

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

I always felt in my apartment. Overall, just be smart with your things (ie zip your purse or dont walk home alone late at night if avoidable). People syked me out more than necessary before I went. Cape Town is not much more (if at all) dangerous than other big cities.

* Home Institution Advising:

How well did Tufts University prepare and support you for your time abroad?

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? I spent about $130/wk including traveling, small adventures, some souvenirs/shopping, apartment groceries and needs, and a few meals and drinks out
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? You want to spend more than you think on travelling, I promise

Language

How would you rate your language skills at the beginning of the program? None
