The Spanish Language and Latin American Studies program is designed for students at the advanced level of Spanish language, who have an interest in Latin American and Argentine literature, art, politics, history, economics and culture. The courses in this program are instructed in Spanish by National University of Córdoba professors. All listed courses are with international students, and courses with locals may be available.

Students will participate in an intensive month of Spanish language courses prior to the beginning of the semester (80-90 additional hours of instruction).

You will be required to take a placement exam called the CELU upon arriving at the National University of Córdoba. The CELU exam consists of a writing section where the student will listen to oral texts and present a written evaluation of them. The oral section will consist of reading texts and conversing with a professor about them, allowing the professors to evaluate your language ability so that they can confirm your level of Spanish is sufficiently advanced for the program. Your performance on this exam will determine your eligibility to participate in courses. If, for any reason, you do not place into the Advanced level of Spanish prior to the start of the semester, after the intensive month, your course selection will be limited to language courses only.
