Australia: I Love You!

Going abroad was the best experience of my life. I cannot wait to get on another plane and go see another country. Going abroad taught me to relax, enjoy my life, and pursue my dreams.

Sydney, Australia: No Worries Mate

I gained an understanding of different cultures and accepting different beliefs, whether I agree with them or not. I would have gone through a different program than IES, but enjoyed every other aspect of my study abroad experience. Studying abroad allowed me to experience a marine biology class right by the ocean, and has ope...

Australia: Very Fun And Laid Back, But Not Too Challenging.

Studying abroad was definitely fun, but I wouldn't really coin it as a life changing experience. Honestly it really just felt like a glorified vacation. It was a blast, don't get me wrong, but the University was easy, and I didn't really face too many great challenges that I had to overcome.

Australia Is Expensive, But Fun Beyond Belief!

Absolutely! While it didn't necessarily impact my cultural awareness as much as maybe some other countries would have, I still got to experience being on the complete other side of the world, and they DO do things very differently. I also feel that maybe others would have more of a cultural awakening if they haven't been anywher...

Ies Sydney Is Great!

I was given the chance to remove myself from my comfort zone and go to a place that I have always wanted to go to. My expectations were exceeded. I saw such beautiful things and tried new things. I was fortunate to travel so much throughout Australia and also to New Zealand. I would never change anything about my abroad experien...

Best Experience Of My Young Life: Study Abroad Sydney

It was certainly worthwhile. It has motivated me to get abroad again in life and perhaps go back to Australia to work and live. It also increased my confidence. Knowing I can travel in the world on my own is rewarding!

Sydney Shaped A Big Part Of My Future Years To Come In A Positive Way.

Studying abroad in Sydney made me realize that anywhere in the world is only a plane ride away. In 2009/2010 I went back to Sydney under a 1 year work/travel visa and lived and worked there. I am now in South Korea living and working. Neither of these 2 things would have happened if I wouldn't have studied abroad. It opened my e...

I'm definitely glad I studied at UNSW, and I really couldn't see myself studying elsewhere. I gained a few foreign friends who I am still in touch with 3+ years later. I gained some amazing memories from an incredible continent/country, and I also took full advantage of the free time I had to travel (I traveled to Byron Bay, M...

I loved studying abroad. I loved the friends I made and the independence of being half way around the world but still being able to communicate with home. I loved having the time to travel so much and to learn a lot about another culture that we barely ever hear about in the US. My university classes really helped me learn a lot...
