Review Your Program

* Overall educational experience

Academic rigor, intensity, resources, etc.

The university was not top-notch. It met my needs just fine, but I wouldn't recommend it to someone looking for a prestigious academic experience.

* Host Country Program Administration

On-site administration of your program

Wonderful program staff. Students outside of my program were jealous of all the "extras" (group meals, cultural activities, and trips) that were included for me. Close, small group.

* Housing:

Non-dormitory, student housing.

* Food:

I shopped and cooked for myself. No issues.

* Social & Cultural Integration:

How integrated did you feel with the local culture?

Outstanding cultural events, social activities, and trips.

* Health Care:

How well were health issues addressed during the program?

* Safety:

My housing was very secure, and in a decent area of the city.

* Home Institution Advising:

How well did Mount Aloysius College prepare and support you for your time abroad?

Finances

* Money: How easily were you able to live on a student's budget?

(1 = not very easy/$200+ on food & personal expenses/week, 2.5 = $100/week, 5 = very easily/minimal cost)

A Look Back

* What did you like most about the program?
  • Amazing onsite coordinator
  • Tons of extras (trips, meals, events)
  • Nice, safe housing
* What could be improved?
  • Mediocre university
* If you could do it all over again, would you choose the same program? Yes
* What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile? Don't be afraid to go for it! I haven't met one study abroad student who said they wished they hadn't gone. I loved it!!
