I was set up with the perfect host family. They were very welcoming and accommodating. They allowed me to gain experience with the language and culture as well as spending time with their children helped me to interact with children at my practicum site in a non-verbal manner when the language barrier was high. |

A Look Back
| * If you could do it all over again, would you choose the same program? | Yes |
| * What do you know now that you wish you knew before going on this program? | Those students who may have doubt about studying abroad but want to experience the world with peers their age. I strongly encourage a host family. Although in Denmark host families were limited, I was nervous at first but I feel that they made my Danish experience what it was. |
| * What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile? | I gained insight to who I am as a being while not only learning about Denmark but America as well. I enjoyed the classes and the culture and feeling like an adult. I was able push my boundaries and experience the world. |
