The workload was manageable even with all of the traveling I did. Grading in Denmark is a bit different than what I was used to at my home university. Generally the professors teach all semester and the grade is dependent on one paper or one exam and participation. However, many of my professors understood this difference so they created their syllabus similar to that of an American university. I found the teaching methods were the same as what I am used to at home. For instance, my professors would use powerpoint during their lectures or would encourage class discussion/participation. In Denmark, the professors also utilize group work as well. |

The classes were not too big (around 20 to 30 students, sometimes less) which is a positive in my experience. DIS also provides adventure and academic trips that allow students to travel and see more than just Copenhagen. Everything is very accessible at DIS (i.e. library services, internet services, IT support) and the employers are more than willing to help with anything that you may need. There are not many weaknesses I can think of besides the commute to class for me personally, but not many people lived as far away as I did. |

I lived in a kollegium, which is a somewhat like an apartment. I had my own bedroom, bathroom and small kitchenette. There was a community kitchen at the end of the hallway. |

I did my food shopping at Netto where you can use your food stipend card and everything is easy to find there. |

DIS offered many chances for students to meet one another by holding socials. |

| Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? | In Denmark, they do not accept credit cards unless you have a pin number for it. Knowing that would have been useful. |
