What did you gain/learn from your experience abroad? Was it worthwhile?
I LIVED in Chile for an entire year. I learned how to speak the language and be fully apart of a Chilean family while being apart of the Chilean culture. I furthered my ability to adapt and be flexible as well as forming long-lasting relationships.

Not including program expenses, about how much money did you spend on food and other expenses each week? Not a lot. Maybe $15 for food and transportation.
Do you have any general money-saving tips for future study abroad participants? Eat your meals with your host family as those meals are already paid for, healthier, and you'll get to practice your Spanish while eating.

With my host family, classmates, professors, friends, people on the street, in stores, with everybody. Most people did not speak English, but some knew basic English.
