The South African Studies summer program provides a range of academic, intellectual, and intercultural experiences that enable students to witness and take part in the complex process of transformation in South Africa. Through an innovative course, a volunteer project, and exploration of the various communities in and around Cape Town, students become participants in, rather than mere observers of, this dynamic environment. Through this process, students gain a comprehensive understanding of the evolving story that is South Africa.
