Argentina changed my life!

I strongly suggest you ask around if some classes are harder than others. I didn't to that and I was to stubborn to ask for help. Don't do what I did. Classes at the University of Buenos Aires are challenging and you will be working with students that speak fluent Spanish, Argentinean style. Buenos Aires: A Unique City With An Intriguing Culture

It's a very different experience so be prepared to have your ups and downs but immerse yourself in the culture and you'll be able to appreciate this South American city with strong European influences. It's a huge city with so much to explore and see and do! It's also very laid-back & overall the people are very friendly. view full review

The workload was excessive. The CIEE advisor in Buenos Aires made it very clear that we were there to study and not to play. One of the major reasons that I decided to study abroad was to get to know and experience another country to its full potential, and some of the coursework made if more difficult to do so because it demanded the majority of my time. view full review

Falling in love with Argentina

The only standout negative aspect of the entire experience was the schooling. Otherwise, the advisors, both at my university and through the program, were extremely helpful, and the city was amazing. I feel in love with the atmosphere of Buenos Aires and want to return, come hell or high water. view full review

Studying abroad was worthwhile. I gained an understanding of global issues that I had never experienced before. I improved my Spanish, and I got to experience a whole culture that was very foreign to me. TAKE ADVANTAGE OF EVERYTHING. If you have the choice to take whatever classes you want (I had fulfilled all of my distribution requirements and am a Spanish major, so I could essentially take any class that I wanted and it counted for credit) chose the easiest classes possible or ones that will have you SUPER interested. I think that I learned a lot especially because I got to take a wide variety of classes that I might not have taken at Tufts. However, the best part of the experience was that every class was taught in Spanish.
